Project description

During 2024/25, on the property Görla 9:25 on Braxenvägen in Norrtälje, Torngrund Group signed a lease agreement with Ahlberg Cameras for the development of approximately 2,000 sqm of office, production, and warehouse space.

The agreement is an 8+5-year triple-net lease, and the building will be environmentally certified with a Silver rating. Occupancy is scheduled for the turn of 2025/26, and the construction will be carried out by the subsidiary Krafthus AB.

Ahlberg Cameras, one of Norrtälje's most high-tech companies, is the global leader in providing camera and lighting equipment for the nuclear power industry. The company, which has been in existence for over 40 years, has customers worldwide, and the establishment in Norrtälje will become their new headquarters. The main owner of Ahlberg Cameras is Lifco AB.

“After a year of negotiations and planning, we are thrilled to have finalized this lease. We are currently completing a large facility for Hitachi in Smedjebacken, which shares several similarities with this project: a global high-tech company with high demands on their premises,” says Gustav Kock, CEO of Torngrund.

He continues:

“The real estate industry has faced headwinds over the past 2-3 years due to several macroeconomic events that have tightened the credit market, making leasing more cautious. Despite this, we have successfully secured several major new developments, which confirms that we are working in the right way. We also see that the industry as a whole is heading towards brighter times.”

“After a thorough selection process, we are very pleased to sign an agreement with Torngrund Group, who will build a property that will optimize our production flow and allow us to grow with the increasing demand for our products and services,” says Johan Bäckström, CEO of Ahlberg Cameras.
